mangrove forests plus America, on the tropic coast of America the mangrove forests are thriving.

Mangroves live on the edge. With one foot on land and one in the sea or a source of salt water, these trees live in a zone of extreme heat, choking mud, and levels of salt that would kill an ordinary plant. Birds live in the top of the trees and snakes and crocodiles come to hunting there midst. Mangroves provide breeding grounds for fish and a food source for monkeys, deer, tree-climbing crabs and a nectar source for bats and honeybees. the trees need salt water to survive because that is what they need. you can see a thick tangle of weaving roots branches and trees, you can hear all the strange bird calls, it feels like a moist heat striken place. the climate is very hot and moist.
